When does the site get updated?
BLAKEMASON.COM is updated with a new solo film every Thursday, a new "After Hours" film every other Friday and a new duo / hardcore film every Sunday, usually around 6pm GMT. However, sometimes updates will go up earlier or slightly later in the day!
How would you describe the style of your films?
Our solo features usually begin with a short interview, then the guy strips, wanks and cums! Once the interview is over, there’s no more talking until after the money-shot – I guess you could say it’s pretty voyeuristic. Our duo hardcore films start with a quick introduction and then the guys just go for it – there’s no interaction between them and the guys holding the camera – again, a voyeuristic style. However, the bonus films allow you to see some of the weird and funny things that can happen during the shoot - we choose to keep these separate so that the main films stay focused on the action!
Do you film in High Definition – HD?
Yes, we switched over to HD in July 2008. However, all our standard definition films were always encoded with quality in mind and are all available as 1,500kbps downloads. Smaller file versions are also available too!
How many cameras do you use during your film shoots?
For solo films we use two cameras and for duo shoots we use three. This allows us to bring you a wide varierty of shots of what's going on rather than simply editing the best bits from one camera. The result? Our films are much less "choppy" than other sites and give you the best possible views during the action!
What file types and sizes are your HD films available in?
We now offer Flash streaming video in 3 different quality levels - high, medium and low res. This is proper streaming where you can skip forward in the film without having to wait for it to completey download first. All downloadable films are encoded using the Windows Media Player format (WMV files) and also the MP4 format for QuickTime or video iPods. There are 4 different quality sizes:
1 – for outstanding picture quality, there are “super res” versions which are rendered at up to a whopping 5,000kbps resulting in a file size of between 500 - 900Mb each – depending on the film length. These play at DVD quality at a native resolution of 1280 x 720. However, only the 12 most recent films are available to download in “super res”.
2 – “high res” films are rendered at up to 3,000kbps and have a file size of between 250 - 600MB each – depending on film length. These still deliver superb picture quality at a native resolution of 960 x 540.
3 – if you're in a hurry – and let’s face it – we all are sometimes, the "med res" versions are rendered at up to 1,500kbps and are almost half the size at about 160 - 300MB.
4 – finally, we do understand that not all of our customers are fortunate enough to have high speed internet access, so we also offer a 500kbps "low res" version. The MP4 files can be copied on to a video iPod for mobile fun! These come in at around 60MB each for the full length film.
How long are your films?
Each film page shows you the duration of the main feature along with information on the file size of the different film options. As a general rule, our main films last anywhere between 18 and 25 minutes each, with the average being 22 minutes. Bonus films vary between 2 and 5 minutes.
Do you use DRM?
No! Digital Rights Management is a technology which is meant to prevent the unauthorised distribution and viewing of films over the web. This site used to use DRM but due to customer feedback we decided to remove it from all of our films. If you can view the preview films then you can view the films in the members area - simple as that! We believe that our customers will respect our work and committment to charities and will not want to give our content away. Moreover, we are convinced that DRM should not be the method to enforce customer loyalty - in our opinion hot guys, quality films and regular updates are the key to ensuring you maintain a membership!
Why don't you produce bonus films for every release?
When we were creating BLAKEMASON.COM we never thought about the funny things that could happen during a shoot. When we realised, we set about editing them in to bonus films. However, not every shoot has funny moments and that's why we never guarantee that every release will have a bonus film.
Are you really going to give some of your profits to charity?
Yes really! We will provide updates in Mason’s Diary every time we write a cheque.
Will you ever start to use pop-ups, spy-ware or advertising?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! As veteran consumers of all things internet – the most annoying is unwanted interruptions to your browsing pleasure. Be assured that we will never inflict this on you.
Technical FAQ

Some email accounts – notably the online accounts such as Hotmail, have aggressive spam / junk filters and place our emails in your junk folder. You'll most likely find it there so please check your junk folder!
Help! My film won’t play.
Please check you are running the latest version of Windows Media Player – PC users click here for a direct link to the free Microsoft download centre. Will your films play on Macs, PDA's or iPods?
The MP4 files will play on video iPods and Macs so you can enjoy our films on the move, however, we don't support PDA users.
